A small team with a quiet way of working
Tunas was started in Melaka by people who spent years in technology but grew more interested in the business owners who had never had a reason to look at it closely.

Started in Melaka, shaped by its business community
Tunas came together in 2022 when two former software developers and a business consultant noticed the same thing from opposite sides: small business owners in Melaka were often curious about new tools but had nobody they trusted to talk it through with. Every conversation they found online felt either too technical or too pushy.
The name Tunas means "sprout" in Malay — something small that grows when conditions suit it. That felt like the right image for what we wanted to do. We are not here to push AI into businesses that are not ready for it. We are here to sit with owners, learn how things work, and share honest thoughts about what might genuinely help.
Since then we have worked with shops along Jalan Hang Tuah, small offices in Ayer Keroh, and family-run businesses in Bukit Baru. Each time we start the same way: by listening.

Our goal is straightforward: help small business owners in Melaka understand which AI tools might ease their daily work, and then help them use those tools well. Nothing more, nothing less.

Client Confidentiality
Everything shared with us stays between us and the client. We do not use client information in any other context.
Written Summaries
After every session we provide a short, plain-language summary of what was discussed and what was suggested, so nothing is lost.
No Affiliate Incentives
We do not receive fees or commissions from any AI tool providers. Our recommendations are based only on what we think will help you.
Flexible Arrangements
Ongoing engagements can be paused, adjusted, or ended at any time. We build this into every partnership from the start.
Selective Tool Choices
We only suggest tools we have used ourselves and that we believe are stable, well-supported, and appropriate for a small business context.
Open Feedback Loop
Clients are encouraged to tell us if something is not working. We treat feedback as useful information, not as criticism.
Our Approach to AI Consulting in Melaka
Small business owners in Malaysia often encounter AI tools through news articles, social media posts, or software updates they did not ask for. The result is frequently confusion — about what the tools do, whether they are safe to use, and whether they are worth the time. Tunas exists to close that gap in a way that respects the owner's existing knowledge and the particular shape of their business.
We focus on tools that handle everyday tasks: drafting emails and messages, organising routine information, or making simple processes a little less manual. These are not dramatic changes. They are small adjustments that, over time, give owners a bit more room to focus on the parts of their business they actually enjoy.
We are proud to be based in Melaka, a city where business relationships are often long-standing and built on trust. We try to earn that trust the same way — slowly, by being straightforward, and by showing up when we are needed.
